Back from my 10days graduation trip. It’s my maiden trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Had a great time, ultimately its my FIRST time gg so far WITHOUT the company of parents.
Here's a brief summary:
Day 0:
Arrived at Zhong Zhen Airport via Cathay Airline after transit at HK. We only had less than an hr to get to the departure gate from the arrival gate. Luckily we had a air stewardess to lead us the way. She cannily shoved past the crowd while we had to catch up with her pace and pulling our burdensome luggage. We were practically running on the moving escalators, hopping from one of those moving escalators to another. Blame it on the tight schedule; it was already boarding time but we were no where near the gate. It was those moments that i realised that the airport is gigantic, very much bigger than Changi Airport.
Anyway, it was already coming to 11pm by the time we arrived at Taiwan. Decided to sleep at the airport to save on lodging for that nite. Jess even took a bath at the airport. Taking the emptied, chilling lounge, with hard plastic chairs, into account, temperature seemed to dip to minus degree C. It was nippy cold… I could hear my teeth shivering non-stop, all of us din get a wink. We decided to roam around the desolated airport. No one was on duty, all the shops were closed, we cant even check out to breath some fresh air. Jess found a dark rather spacious room with a signboard indicating 'playground' by chance. After taking a closer look, there were actually people lurking in the pitch dark room. We then realised they were just like us, taking the airport as a shelter for the night. Happily, we found ourselves some huge sofas to settle for the remaining nite. Only managed to sleep for a mere 4 hours before bleak callously attack us again...
