This morning, I received a sms from xj- no phototaking session today, coz too many people could not make it. We will just have dinner together to celebrate sok eng’s birthday. I was devastated. I have always hankered after taking pictures with the two DURIANS- the Esplanade in my convo gown.
We met at city hall and proceeded to Marina Sq for dinner. Yesh, I finally got the chance to eat at CHANGING APPETITE. We, the 4 gals decided to order 3 mains and 1 dessert, while the guys each ordered a main and a drink. Wow pizza was good, I like it thinly crusted. Spice Me Up pasta had more black pepper chicken and the spaghetti. The baby ribs were not as nice as those from Café Carte. But I loved the Chocolate Planet. Had tried a few of their drinks. Mango Please wasnt really a treat to me, I prefer the lychee one. The banana milk shake wasn’t my cup of tea. We got sok eng a bday cake and sang her a bday song. It was kinda attention seeking in the restaurant, but we had fun. We were happily doing some catching up and lost track of time. All of us except WX and CH got a job. One is a trainee PE G.T.O wannabe while another is a mechanical engineer at a Japanese company. The rest had in mind what want. Our bday gal wants to get into ST Micro, while ST’s dream company is TECH. XJ is going for air steward interview at SIA the next day. I was quite amazed by her interest in the service line. She got a 2nd upper degree in Mechanical eng, yet she is not into engineer stuffs. KC is another one who has been applying for non-engineering positions. As for me, I’m beginning to steer my application for non-engineering jobs too. We sat at the restaurant till past 10pm. We went outdoors to give KC chances to show off his new 7.5 mega pixel digital cam! We cant tease him and his antique camera anymore. Haha.
