met up with YH and David for dinner at marina sq. initially we wanted to settle at this Chinese restaurant which served nice roasted ducks, but the queue was extremely long. We decided to make do with Carl’s Jr. which was not as crowded. I had the Low Carbo Chicken Combo while YH and David had the Famous Combo. Each combo comes with a refillable drink and fries. There were a range of fries done differently. They have the normal fries, the crosscut fries and fries with cheese and minced meat which reminds me of taco bells fries during our JC days. The burger is huge. Paying an American-price for an American-sized burger. Although I’m not an avid fan of fries, I quite enjoyed the taco-bells taste-alike fries.
We caught the movie, the longest yard after that. It was a hilarious movie. We could not stop laughing away throughout the show. This movie is a remake of the 1974 Robert Aldrich film starring Burt Reynolds. The male lead actor, Adam Sandler takes on the role of Paul Crewe as a disgraced star quarterback, who is banned for throwing a game. He goes jail after drunk driving and violating parole. The sadistic warden wants Crewe to give his guards some tips so they can do better in their football league. In the end, Crewe suggests a friendly game with the prisoners. The caretaker played my Chris Rock render some help in recruiting the BIGGEST, meanest convicts he can find. Well, I enjoyed the show thoroughly.
They got me a polo tee from SURF BAY and a demin skirt from EBASE for birthday! Thanks pals! I’ll wear them the next time when we meet up again ya.
